Kids can use this free printable piano composition worksheet to compose a special song for Dad.
Kids fill in the notes they’d like to use and then complete the lyrics with a personalized message. It means a lot to Dad to hear kids say specifically what they enjoy doing together. This composition project may even prompt some dads to make more time for their kids.
I like to have kids compose a melody and write in the notes on the treble clef. After the kids are comfortable playing their melody, we add in chords. Check out Piano Magic if you’d like help teaching piano chords to kids. Chords can make a simple song sound so much more impressive!
