In a perfect world, all kids would be internally motivated to practice every day, but we all know that many kids need extra motivation. Kids are busy with sports and extracurricular activities, plus they have other interests competing for their time, and it can be hard for kids to want to practice every day.
To help kids be excited about piano practice, Jennifer Foxx has created a terrific practice incentive program. Reach Beyond the Stars helps kids soar through their lesson assignments while having fun soaring through space. This is Jennifer’s newest practice incentive program and is currently the most popular resource in her new Teachers Pay Teachers Store.
As students practice they make their way through the solar system. When they reach a planet they complete mission assignments and advance ranks. Students are extra motivated to practice so they can progress along with their peers.
Practice incentives can dramatically accelerate student progress and change attitudes from disinterested to super motivated. When I have made my own programs, I’ve spent countless hours designing the materials, so I was excited to learn that Jennifer has several programs that are ready to go.
Visit Jennifer’s new Teacher’s Pay Teachers store and you’ll see all the other great materials she’s created, like a Musical Riddles pack you can use for a review, and Piano Olympics. You’ll also find quite a few free resources, like Piano Karate and handouts.
Thank you so much, Jennifer, for sharing your creative ideas and helping all of us make piano lessons more fun for our students!
